WAVE QUILT
Inspired by the calming and undulating waves of the sea, Nila’s Waves Baby Quilt is made with pure cotton, handwoven on looms in Murshidabad, West Bengal.
The quilting and stitching has been skilfully done by the women of Shakti Samuha, a self-help group affiliated with our sister organization, Lady Bamford Charitable Trust (LBCT). The women have also patiently hand-embroidered the quilt, with yarns dyed in natural indigo. Nila has been providing them with training in tailoring and embroidery to enhance their skills and prospects for additional income generation.
The waves baby quilt is a lovely addition to your child’s nursery, providing warmth and comfort to lull the young one to sleep.
